Louis has been with Abode Services since 1992 and Executive Director since 1994. He is only the second Executive Director in the history of the organization. He has a Masters Degree in Social Work as well as a Masters Degree in Theology. Before coming to Abode Services he was youth director at Corpus Christi Church in Niles. |
Gay is responsible for the implementation and supervision of all Abode Services programs and fund development. She joined Abode Services in 2005, and brings her experience as Executive Director of Su Casa Domestic Abuse Network, Manager of Leadership Giving for United Way of Greater Los Angeles, and 23 years of business experience in public accounting and as a business owner. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston. |
Jose has been with Abode Services since 1989. He brings a wealth of accounting experience to the position and is widely acknowledged in the non-profit community to be an expert in non-profit accounting. |
Vivian joined Abode Services in 2007, and brings ten years of experience in social services, including community organizing, foster care, homeless services, and end-of-life care. She oversees all of Abode Services’ housing subsidy programs, and supportive housing development projects. Vivian holds a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare from U.C. Berkeley. |
Pam joined the staff of Abode Services in 1993. Pam has a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a state MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist) license. Pam supervises the case management programs at Sunrise Village shelter and the Winter Relief emergency housing program. In addition, she supervises the McKinney Linkages Jobs/Housing Program, the RISE/Shelter Plus Care Housing Program and the Children’s Program. Pam is responsible for the clinical supervision and consultation of a number of Abode Services Programs. |
Jean left the corporate world to join Abode Services in 1993. She has become a great advocate, speaking on behalf of the homeless at businesses, churches, schools and community groups. Jean works with the school districts to foster collaboration in addressing the education of homeless students and the need to enhance the academic after-school programs, and transportation on behalf of the children living in homeless shelters. Jean has recruited and enriched the volunteer program to well over 900 volunteers annually. |
Carol brings more than 20 years of development and fundraising experience to Abode Services. Her unique background includes experience with many local non-profits, state and city commissions and other civic organizations. She holds a certificate in Fund Raising Management from The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. |
Karen is the newest member of the Abode family. She has overall responsibility for the Project Independence team and the Service Coordinators at STAY Well Housing, BridgeWay Apartments and Sunset Square Apartments. Karen has an extensive background working with the underserved, disenfranchised and at risk children, adults and families. She has a Master’s degree in Public Health and has been teaching, training and managing nonprofit programs and projects for over 20 years. |
