Children's Program Coordinator/ Manager
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Children’s Services Manager shall hold responsibility for designing, implementing and evaluation all aspects of the organization’s programming for children.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop with other key staff a vision and philosophy for family centered services offered through the Children’s Program.
- Outline a complement of parent/child services intended to fulfill the Program’s mission and philosophy that meet the needs of children and their families.
- Design with input from appropriate personnel all aspects of the child enrichment program, that is both age and developmentally appropriate for the children served which enhances their well-being, including, but not limited to, the physical environment in which the program will be delivered, the daily program, activities, snacks, and materials for use by children.
- Oversee staff responsible for the delivery of services through the Children’s Program and/or provide appropriate services, as needed.
- Provide training and offer staff development activities intended to deliver a high quality complement of services to TCHC clients.
- Design, provide and/or oversee parenting classes to families at multiple sites.
- Collaborate with other organizations in the community to expand the impact of the Children’s Program and provide comprehensive services to clients.
- Assist families to access needed services in the community including, but not limited to, assessments/treatment services for any developmental concerns, child care, learning disabilities, behavior problems, school readiness, victims of domestic violence, exposure to drug and alcohol issues in the family.
- Regularly evaluate the services delivered as a part of the Children’s Program to ensure that they are family centered and are meeting the needs of children and families, as well as requirements set forth by the agency and funders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree with an emphasis or major in child development, early childhood education or a closely related field required.
- At least two years of direct experience in the provision and supervision of early childhood education services for children in a classroom environment.
- Strong assessment and engagement skills with children and families
- Track-record in designing and implementing workshops to groups of diverse individuals and families.
- Ability to develop and implement child and family based program activities
- Ability to maintain accurate client/service information
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Bilingual a plus.

Greater HOPE Clinical Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
The Greater HOPE (Homeless Outreach and People Empowerment) Full Service Partnership (FSP) is an innovative, community mental health program that grew out of the Mental Health Service Act (Prop. 63). In partnership with Alameda County Behavioral Healthcare Services, this program is helping to transform mental health services in Alameda County. The Greater HOPE FSP engages homeless people where they are at through outreach and the HOPE Project Mobile Health Clinic. Once engaged, the program offers housing, intensive, wrap around service coordination, medication management, psychiatric services, primary medical care, counseling, and peer mentoring. The Greater HOPE team is a multi-disciplinary and multi-talented group of people who work in creative ways to support people diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses rekindle hope, find their passion, and live their lives to the fullest.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide overall clinical oversight to assure consistency and continuity of care in the provision of services.
- Assume responsibility for developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment goals in collaboration with participants, family members, and staff.
- Provide risk assessments of participants. Ensure immediate and appropriate interventions are provided.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance around Medi-Cal billing and charting, and other documentation issues.
- Provide clinical supervision to ASWs and MFTIs working towards licensure.
- Supervise BSW/MSW interns.
- Provide support to HOPE staff in crisis situations as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Chief Operations Officer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field. Licensure REQUIRED (LCSW, MFT, Ph.D.)
- Three years supervisory experience in psychiatric service.
- Clinical skills and experience to assess and provide treatment and support services to participants with histories of homelessness, severe and persistent mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Strong commitment to the right and ability of each person diagnosed with a mental illness to live in normal community residences and find meaningful activity.
- Strong written and verbal commutation skills.
- Bi-lingual a plus.
- Must demonstrate cultural competency and experience in working with diverse populations.
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License, proof of insurance and use of personal automobile.
- Must pass background clearances.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
