The Sobrato Family Foundation
The Sobrato Family Foundation of Cupertino is a foundation funded by a family of Bay Area real estate developers. This foundation understands that non-profits sometimes receive adequate funding for programs, but lack funding for basic operating expenses. Sobrato Family Foundation has awarded TCHC a 2-year grant that will fund basic expenses. The Foundation also spreads this message among other foundation directors, requesting they consider funding basic expenses, including administration personnel. Sobrato has become an important leader among large local foundations and an important partner with TCHC fighting homelessness.
